ABOUT ME
Simon Ostheimer is an experienced travel writer, with more than 17 years experience as an author and editor for various magazines, guidebooks, newspapers and websites across Asia.

Specialising in Southeast Asia, he is a regular travel writer for global media including inflight magazines, travel titles, and architecture websites, has contributed to more than 70 publications, and authored 13 travel destination guides. He is also the founder of and main writer for Tales of the Orient.
So far he has lived in six countries and 10 cities across the world: Leicester, Bristol, Suzhou, Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Phuket and Phnom Penh.
