Mention Phang Nga and you may think of James Bond Island, a small rock outcrop in these parts that was featured in 1974’s The Man with the Golden Gun. But there’s much more to this stretch of unspoiled coastline than a 007 cameo. The province has resisted the rampant development seen in Phuket directly to the south, remaining a sleepy backwater full of small villages awaiting discovery – such as Takua Pa.
